Welcome To Adventure Pursuit!

Thanks for stopping by. Adventure Pursuit is a non-profit corporation located in Parkersburg, WV We are dedicated to helping everyone enjoy recreation. Our mission is to make adventure available to all by removing obstacles they may face. We specialize in adaptive recreation for the mentally and physically challenged. We open our doors to everyone and welcome everyone. We can help you enjoy everything from hiking to kayaking to mountain biking to climbing and on and on. We have all the gear and guides. All that is missing is you. Take a look around and let us know if you are interested in coming out to play. We would love to create an adventure with you!

Adventure Pursuit membership is $5 a month or $60 for the year. That is an amazing deal. We work hard to keep our cost low and your $5 a month means everything to us!

You can pay for your membership all at once or make payments through our online payment system by clicking here! You can always mail a membership to us too if you like or sign up at our next event. To send a membership or donation in the mail, download and mail us this form.

If you are interested in making a donation, you can do that online too! Donations are tax-deductible as we are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.

We could use financial support for our life vest fund drive right now. We have a matching grant so every dollar you give will be doubled thanks to board member Dave Brooks! PARK program kick off May 10th!

We are kicking off our new PARK program Saturday, May 10th at 11 AM till 2 PM located at McCarter Chiropractic Health Center (4315 Emerson Ave. next to Mulberry Lane, and acrossed the street from Walker Machinery and Foodland). It is the day of their annual community health fair and we would love to see you there!

Climbing classes -

Professional climbing classes scheduled at North Bend State Park

Tentatively Sold Out - We can add you to the waiting list. Slots may become available May 17th.

Three climbing classes has been scheduled at North Bend State Park May 31 and June 1st. They are being taught by the professional climbing school New River Mountain Guides located in the New River Gorge. They are travelling to North Bend State Park to save you a drive to the Gorge. The class is $100 per person ($70 if you drive to the Gorge to take it) with a limit of 6 people per class. Visit their website for details on this class by clicking here.

We do an enormous amount of work for a little money. We run the club for about $1000 a month. Our insurance alone is over $7000 a year. That leaves $416 a month to pay mortgage, utilities, supplies, lifeguards, maitenance etc.

We could use some help right now on a few things. Our time is best utilized working directly with the community on health. Fund raising takes us away from what we do best. If you could help us out with a donation it would be a great help to us and the community.

Our life vests are worn out. We estimate it will cost about $4000 to replace them and set up a sanitatation program for them. We are getting a wonderful cost on the vests. You can buy one for us for $40. It will allow many folks to enjoy exercise and adventure. We even change some folks lives. We could really use your help. Thank you.
